Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I give Arterra to my puppy?

Close-x-thin

We do not recommend giving our Adult or Senior formulas to puppies unless directed by your
veterinarian. Our formula is designed and intended for fully grown adult dogs (18 months+),
and out of caution, we do not recommend it for puppies whose bodies are still developing.
Until they are old enough for Arterra, we recommend giving them a quality Omega-3 and
collagen supplement to support healthy brain and connective tissue development.

Can I give your Adult formula to my Senior Dog?

Close-x-thin

Yes. While our Senior formula is the most comprehensive and advanced dog supplement on the planet, our Adult formula is still leagues ahead of any other brand on the market. We understand that our Senior formula may be
cost-prohibitive for some customers. Rest assured that you can safely and effectively give our Adult formula to senior dogs, but do note that it will not include some of the more advanced ingredients and higher potencies of our Senior formula.

Can I divide my dog’s serving throughout the day?

Close-x-thin

Yes. You may divide your dog’s serving into equal morning and evening portions at mealtime.

Can I add Arterra to my dog’s food?

Close-x-thin

Yes, you can. Mixing Arterra with your dog’s food will not impair it’s quality or efficacy.

My dog doesn’t like the dry power. Can I add water?

Close-x-thin

Yes, you can. Mixing Arterra with water will not impair it’s quality or efficacy.

Why is your product so expensive compared to other supplements?

Close-x-thin

Our product contains substantially more ingredients than competing brands. Not only do we pack in more beneficial ingredients, we also provide them in superior (more expensive) forms, and at generally much higher potencies. As a result, it is dramatically more expensive to produce. As a general rule, one tub of our Senior formula costs about 16X that of a conventional ($30 price point) supplement to manufacture. We believe the benefits and results of our products are also in a very different league that justifies their price point. For a more detailed explanation of this question, we encourage you to read our full blog post on the topic HERE.

My dog had gas / GI issues when I gave them your product, should I be concerned?

Close-x-thin

Our product is extremely complex, and is likely introducing several new ingredients to your dog’s digestive system. This can trigger a short-term adjustment period in which your dog may experience gas or a soft/irregular stool. If this occurs, we recommend starting with half the recommended serving for one week before increasing to the full amount. If mild GI issues persist for more than five days, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian.

My dog experienced an adverse reaction to your product.

Close-x-thin

Discontinue use immediately, consult your veterinarian, and notify us as soon as possible HERE.

Our product is extremely complex, and with dozens of ingredients there is an inherent risk of allergy/sensitivity to one of our ingredients in your individual dog.

Safety is our top priority, and we take all adverse event reports very seriously. While an individual sensitivity is the most common cause of adverse events, we will thoroughly investigate all reports to ensure the ongoing safety and purity of our product.

Can I give my dog other supplements along with Arterra?

Close-x-thin

Our product is intended to be an all-in-one daily supplement, and we do not recommend administering it with other supplements unless instructed to do so by your veterinarian, with one exception: we recommend giving Arterra alongside a quality Omega-3 supplement when possible. This is the one ingredient we strongly wanted to include in our formula, but it was impractical to do so in our dry powder form factor.

Can you provide the exact amount of each ingredient in Arterra?

Close-x-thin

Unfortunately we can't publish the exact amounts of each ingredient. There are no patents to protect supplement formulas, and if we published this we would essentially be giving our "exact" recipe" (which we spent over a year developing, at significant cost) to our competitors.

We do however list the total amount of each of the eight functional blends within our product on our website, with the ingredients within them listed in descending order by dose amount.

As conscientious dog owners who read labels closely, transparency is extremely important to us. If there is a particular ingredient you're concerned about, we are happy to provide further insight so please reach out.

Dosages of every ingredient have been determined with the partnership of our veterinarian advisors and are under established safe thresholds based on toxicological and other clinical data. But as a general rule, they are significantly higher than other veterinary supplements on the market. It is our design intent that the efficacy of our product will speak for itself, with benefits most readily observable in senior dogs who have otherwise started to slow down.

Will my dogs eat Arterra?

What is your return policy?

In some cases, we may ask for feedback to better understand your experience with our product.

Why does your toothpaste contain Stevia?

Close-x-thin

Stevia makes our toothpaste sweet and enhances the peanut butter flavor, to help turn brushing time into a treat that your dog looks forward to.

Stevia is a natural sugar alternative that is 100% dog safe. There are other sugar alternatives such as Xylitol, commonly found in human toothpastes, but which is extremely toxic to dogs.

Our product does not contain Xylitol and is 100% dog safe and veterinarian approved.
